About

A modern legal workspace, built in Luxembourg.

We build AI tools that respect the realities of legal practice — anonymisation by default, EU-hosted, transparent about what reaches the model and what does not.

Clerk is the AI legal workspace for Luxembourg. We help lawyers, judges and legal staff research jurisprudence, analyse documents and draft arguments — without sending identifiable client information to third-party language models.

Why Luxembourg

Luxembourg is one of the most internationally exposed legal markets in Europe. Cabinets work in three or four languages, file in two jurisdictions before lunch, and serve clients regulated by the CSSF, the CNPD, and a long list of EU authorities. The available legal-tech tools were not built for this reality.

We started Clerk because the existing options forced a choice between modern AI tooling and the confidentiality obligations that define the profession. We did not think that choice was necessary, and we did not think it was acceptable.

What we believe

  • Anonymisation is not a feature. It is the architectural prerequisite that makes AI deployable in legal work at all. Personal data must be removed before it leaves the firm's perimeter — not after, not optionally.
  • EU-hosted, end to end. Data, models, infrastructure, support. No transatlantic transfers, no exceptions.
  • Transparent by default. Every redaction is shown to the user before processing. Every citation links back to the source. Every analysis names its model.
  • Human oversight, always. Clerk is a research and drafting assistant, not an autonomous agent. A qualified lawyer reviews everything that reaches a client.

Who we work with

Our users are partners and associates at Luxembourg cabinets, in-house counsel at Luxembourg-domiciled corporates, and researchers at Luxembourg's courts and tribunals. If your work involves the Luxembourg legal corpus, Clerk is built for you.

Where we are based

Clerk is based in Luxembourg City. Our team brings together backgrounds in law, machine learning and product design. We are funded privately and are not affiliated with any cabinet, court or government body.
